Youth Baseball Clinic 2016
he Trojan Baseball Alumni Association held it’s annual Youth Clinic for boys and girls, ages 7-13 years old, on August 21, 2016 at Dedeaux Field, on the campus of the University of Southern California. Approximately 90 kids from the metro Los Angeles area attended the event. Co-chairmen, Don Buford, Vic Lapiner and Jake Alba, together with former USC ballplayers, family and friends took part as instructors and staff to provide kids with a full day of learning the fundamentals of baseball.

The various sessions included instructional training on pitching, hitting, fielding, throwing, base running, and more. The facility and instruction was provided at no cost to the kids and a lunch was generously donated by the El Cholo restaurant organization. Additional thanks to sponsors Crystal Geyser Water, Thrive in Joy Foundation & The Dodgers Foundation.

Youth Baseball Clinic 2014
Former Trojans volunteer their time once a year to instruct young kids on the fundamentals of baseball and the excitement seen in their eyes makes all efforts worthwhile.

Instructors are more than happy to volunteer their time as it is one way to promote baseball and teach kids the fundamentals of the game and how to play baseball the “Trojan Way”. It also provides Trojans an opportunity to show appreciation for the education they received and for the honor and privilege of having played for USC.
